People who have filed for bankruptcy are legally required to take a personal financial management course from an approved nonprofit agency before the court will finalize the bankruptcy proceedings. Financial Pathways of the Piedmont is approved by the North Carolina Bankruptcy Administrator in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code to provide this counseling and certificate to all residents of North Carolina. (This approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an agency’s services.)

Clients may receive counseling face-to-face or online; in cases of hardship, phone counseling can be arranged. We provide a certificate on completion of the 60-to-90 minute session.
